Foreign and Domestic
Its getting difficult to differentiate between the enemies outside and inside the United States. Enemy identification is all but impossible when those enemy hold elected office. Alien to our republic, those 'elected' public servants take an oath to protect and defend our Constitution when in fact it appears they are doing everything possible to destroy it.
When were the enemies of the United States included in the 'build back better' plan? The taliban have certainly been built back better. They were gifted with billions of dollars worth of our sophisticated, deadly weapons and an entire country from which they can launch terrorists worldwide facilitated by our wobbling, incompetent 'president'. No enemy of the United States could have done better.
Hundreds, perhaps thousands of our citizens are still behind enemy lines (the State Department claims not to know how many) and our 'president' admits some will be left behind. If this doesn't constitute high crimes and misdemeanors then nothing will. Again, no enemy could have planned a better hostage situation than the one in to which our 'president' stumbled.
Thirteen Gold Star families are now hostages to their grief. The rest of the United States grieve with them and pray for them. There is nothing this administration can do to pave this over. Those deaths will not leave the news cycle any time soon. Will our 'president' have the guts to meet those coffins at Dulles? Maybe, if someone can wake him from his nap.
Its this correspondent's dream-wish to see him awakened from his afternoon nap by two beefy U.S. Marshalls and frog-marched to his trial in the senate.
