Flying at Half Mast

We are reluctant witnesses to the fall of our Republic.  A history professor I know said "There has never been a republic that has risen from a collapse." Its more than discouraging or disheartening. Its heart breaking .  Its maddening and outrageous. Its the revelation that our so-called president has been (in his own words) "instructed to call" on the people on a list of reporters. This proves beyond a shadow of a doubt this bumbling sock puppet of a president is being tightly controlled by his handlers. Those handlers surely were cringing when the president revealed this. Its the end of the character that made this nation great. There was a time when our word to our allies was good. We stood fast and followed through. This administration cares less for our allies than it does for optics. How many of our allies are still stranded behind enemy lines in Afghanistan? Joe Biden sold your soul for a photo opportunity.  Joe Biden apparently has no soul with which to bargain, so he sold yours wholesale to terrorists. This nation gave up any appearance of a real and fair election and placed a fraud in the Oval Office. Now we pay with the soul of a nation and young lives. This doesn't burden Joe. He thinks this all happened "four days ago...five days ago" so its no longer relevant. Joe thinks he can trust a list of U.S. citizens and allies to the taliban. Joe thinks it 'acceptable' that U.S. citizens are left behind after the so-called 'deadline'. Joe will get his photo op but it won't be him at the podium announcing 'victory' in Afghanistan. Instead it will be the one that defines his presidency.

  Its getting difficult to differentiate between the enemies outside and inside the United States. Enemy identification is all but impossible when those enemy hold elected office. Alien to our republic, those 'elected' public servants take an oath to protect and defend our Constitution when in fact it appears they are doing everything possible to destroy it.  When were the enemies of the United States included in the 'build back better' plan? The taliban have certainly been built back better. They were gifted with billions of dollars worth of our sophisticated, deadly weapons and an entire country from which they can launch terrorists worldwide facilitated by our wobbling, incompetent 'president'.   Active or retired, if you are or you know a flag rank officer please consider this message and pass it along. We find ourselves at an unprecedented place in history of which there can be no question.  There is no redemption for the actions of this incompetent and feckless administration. There are no excuses for this to go on. The president has proven himself totally unable to lead our nation and the legislative branches are afraid to take the steps necessary to remove him. There is a power vacuum at the top and its needs to be filled. This is no longer a question of urgency, this is an emergency . It is a certainty you have already considered an alternative. Please keep in mind, such action, positive action, would be the ultimate act of patriotism and courage.
